To become a Certified Ross Instructor is a lot of things. It’s 3 weeks in Florida at Bob’s studio/gallery, 20+ completed oil paintings, 105 hours of training, and a completed painting in less than 28 minutes. During that training I learned the methods of wet on wet painting, and how to break down the steps and teach them.
However, being a CRI is much more than numbers. It’s seeing the literal “Joy of Painting” as people recite his quotes, remember the first time they watched his show, what his voice, his painting, and the show meant to their childhood. Each workshop and each painter becomes a happy little tree in the forest of Bob’s message and his legacy. We are so honored to be a part of the spread of the literal “Joy of Painting.”
